The saying “a failure to plan is a plan to fail” is an unconditional fact when it comes to setting goals for your network marketing business. Establishing clear goals is one of the most important network marketing tips I can offer. Goals will help run your network marketing business effectively while also clearly defining what benefits you want to gain from running your own business.

Business goals fall into four basic categories: service for helping others, social for helping causes, profit for earning money, and growth related to the business size. Your goals may fall into any number of the basic categories, depending on the type of business you chose and your own personal interests.

You can achieve your goals by setting and meeting objectives. Use the SMART acronym to develop objectives that are Specific, Measurable, Actionable, Realistic, and Timely. Without these elements, your goals are too vague and you will have trouble implementing a plan to achieve them or even recognizing when your objective is complete.
